100K-Plan: Stock Broking Account

I thought I just do a quick introduction of the few stock broking firms that I have. Mostly on their online trading clients, look and feel.

OCBC - One of my oldest account, because the broker is my sister's friend. So, when I started trading long long time ago.

It is the typical traditional trading GUI, it has all the standard stuff. Technical Chart are very basic, not very advance. News, Tips, etc.. are very basic. I personally don't bother reading them

LIM TAN - Much better online applets then OCBC, very new platform, work with IE. Only thing is that the brokeage fee is lowest. But there are some trick when buy US shares to reduce the brokeage.

They offers access to NetResearch Blog. This is what I like about them. Online portal easy to use, and they have live charts.

Kim Eng

I like Kim Eng trading platform the most, similar features like limtan. The best thing about ketrade is that when you setup your page, all you have to do to update all the applets to the stock you like to see with one click. All the corresponding applets will update to the stock chosen. Nice.

But the stupid thing is that the broker does not allow me to trade online, unless I have $$$ deposit in the trading account. Dumb!

POEMS - Much older look and feel, seems like they did not change the look and feel since I have them 10years ago. They just added more exchanges. The only live feed available for US markets. Cool. But the interface is faster then the other three.
